Course Objectives:
– Differentiate, based on clinical criteria, Alzheimer’s disease from other common dementias including Dementia with Lewy Bodies (DLB), Vascular-Ischemic Dementias, Frontotemporal Degeneration (FTD), Parkinson’s Disease with Dementia (PDD), and Parkinson’s- Plus Syndromes
-Determine the role of office-based screening instruments and mental status examination in the evaluation and management of dementia
-Interpret and compare cognitive screening approaches for different dementias such as AD, FTD, and DLB
