Walter Allen Memorial Community Lecture – Healthy Brain Aging: The promise of lifestyle behaviors for preserving brain function in adulthood

Presenting:  Chelsea Stillman, PhD., Research Assistant Professor, Psychology Department, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine

Dr. Stillman will describe the spectrum of age-related cognitive decline, including factors that increase and decrease the risk of healthy brain aging. She will highlight clinical research studies that have revolutionized the way we think of the aging brain and explain the science behind the healthy brain aging programs. She will conclude by describing one ongoing program in Pittsburgh which is harnessing proven approaches to promote brain health in the African American community.
