Course Objectives:
By the end of this course, participants will be abe to:
• Apply evidence-based approaches to the assessment of depressive symptoms in patients with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia syndromes (ADRD).
• Differentiate, based on clinical criteria, depression from other neuropsychiatric manifestations of ADRD.
• Apply data-supported pharmacologic management strategies including the roles, cautions, and potential alternatives to using antidepressants in ADRD.
