Clinical Updates in Dementia Webinar Series – Dementia with Lewy Bodies

Course Objectives:
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
• Describe the pathological and clinical features of Dementia with Lewy Bodies (DLB).
• Differentiate, based on clinical criteria, DLB from Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s disease.
• Apply evidence-based management strategies such as risk assessment, targeted approach to symptom management, and proper use of outcome measures when caring for a DLB patient.
• Understand current pharmacological approaches to the management of a patient with DLB.

Continuing Education: Medicine, L/CSW, LPC, LMFT (Pa.), and Nursing
No cost for the first 100 professional CE registrants; $10 for all others

This learning activity is being jointly provided by the University of Pittsburgh Schools of Nursing, Social Work, and Medicine. The School of Nursing is an accredited provider of Continuing Nursing Education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. Participants completing the learning activity may be awarded a maximum of 1.5 contact hours.
